Affiliate Marketing – Pay Per Click Marketing For Instant Success

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

Pay Per Click Marketing is an affiliate marketing skill practiced only by successful affiliate marketers. The reason for this is that most affiliates do not fancy the idea of spending money everytime there is a click on their ads and one can lose money if there is not a solid business plan in place. Pay Per Click Marketing in the right hands is the fastest way for anyone to get results online, in hours or days from the day the ad was placed.

Getting started in Pay Per Click Marketing is very simple. All we need to do is go to any one of the major search engine providers such as Yahoo Search Marketing, MSN Marketing and Google Adwords Marketing and setup an account. Setting up an account requires a debit or credit card. This is also a possible hurdle for some interested in online marketing but unable to get started because of lack of this tool. Many banks now allow their ATM cards to function as a visa card.

Pay Per Click Marketing never gets saturated. Compared to other forms of advertising such as ezine advertising that can generate sales…however one needs to place ads, or solo ezine ads to test if the subscribers to an ezine newsletter is responsive to an ad. So its either a hit or miss. For this same reason, PPC is especially good for affiliates in the MLM or network marketing arena that are looking for ways to generate leads for their business. For example, while your upline may have success advertising a business opportunity in a certain ezine with 5000 subscribers, over time that pool becomes saturated with the same ad and this resource pool will no longer be beneficial to the sponsors downline.

PPC however takes some skill and time to understand the intricacies of the advertising system. The best way to succeed in PPC is to have a business model that is long term, in other words, we need a business plan that either has got many products we can introduce in time, a recurring charge business model such as a membership site or a high ticket item. Once the business model is in place, we can send instant traffic with Adwords, Yahoo, or MSN. Such business models will give you a high chance of earning $1000s with PPC in net profits!

All the best to your internet business,

Pay Per Click Marketing – How To Make Money With It?

Sunday, June 1st, 2008

Pay Per Click Marketing also known as PPC is a form of paid advertising. While the sound of paying money per click sounds like a big hole in your pocket, PPC is potentially lucrative in the right hands.

There are many services that offer PPC advertising. A few that I've used with good results are Yahoo Search Marketing, MSN, Google Adwords, Adbrite and Bidvertiser.

The main thing when using Pay Per Click advertising is to have some sort of tracking. These tracking codes are provided by the advertising services. All that needs to be done, is to simply copy these codes and paste them before the  /body tag. If that sounds difficult, its actually quite simple once you give it a try.

Once the tracking codes are in place, we can understand what is making money, and what is not. For example, if a keyword is only giving you 10% conversion rate, then either we lower the bid for that keyword…or discard that campaign altogether.

When doing PPC, its important to understand the life time value of a customer. Ultimately, your goal for PPC is to bring a curious surfer to a customer. This is also known as conversion. From my experience with Pay Per Click Marketing, the best way to succeed with PPC is to have a product that is recurring in nature, as compared to a 1 off sale.

How To Get Traffic To A Website – And Earn $11,737/Mo Doing It

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Most sites have little traffic going to their websites, or not as much as they would like. In fact , you need only need as little as 15-40 real visitors a day to earn an internet income of $1,000 per month online. Then just by ramping up the traffic, we can expect to experience a proportional revenue increase.

1. Search Engine Optimisation

If I were to do Search Engine Optimisation, the 1st page would normally be a landing page. The subsequent pages would be either a blog, article pages with the main keywords that I want to target on each specific page. A website with just a few pages can rank very well even if there is not much article content. If the site offers a real service, and good user experience, you can expect Google to have it indexed on the 1st page.

2. Pay Per Click Marketing

This is one of my personal favourites. There are many subjects written on how to go about using Pay Per Click marketing or PPC. PPC includes Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, Bidvertiser, Adbrite. Adwords actually has a course for this if you're interested to become an Adwords Qualified Professional. PPC generates both expenses as well as revenue. You will need a good business model before spending money on PPC.

How To Get Traffic To Your Site?

Monday, May 26th, 2008

There are many ways to get traffic to a site. The fastest of which is paid advertising. In my view most beginners don't want (or don't dare) to pay for online traffic. 6 figure earners are willing to pay for traffic because this allows a quick way to test their advertising message, which contributes quickly back to their income.

"You could say the rich get richer and the normal…stay the same…"

Its cost efficient to budget $50 to test an ad copy, then to spend 14 days getting into the indexed pages of Google and Yahoo. And even after your pages get indexed, there will be another long wait as you struggle to get repeat visits and eyeballs to your website.

Copy writing is an interesting skill. Though we can't be 100% sure of one person's reaction to a message or communication, we can with a frightening degree of certainty predict the proportion of folks, that will react to a piece of communication. Say 100 people read your message, 2 persons take action, that's a 2% conversion rate and you can demand similar results everytime 100 "TARGETED" folks read the same information.

Paid advertising can get 100s of targeted people to see your message over a few days. We then set up a "PPC tracking campaign". From there, you can check you sales profits versus cost in just days…

Make Money Blogging – Is that the best way?

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

For most people who are sole owners of their own internet business, blogging is a way to generate an income, where the expense are low, and you only need good writing skills and a free blog from blogger.com. Blogs can be monetised by putting banners and paid advertisements on the top and side.  A blogs purpose allows you to connect with an audience that have immense interest in your thoughts and sharings.

Platforms you can blog with:

Blogger: This is a free service from blogger.com. The layout is very easy to use and you can monetise the blogs with Google's Adsense. Registering for Adsense is as simple as visiting Adsense.com. Copy down your Publisher ID and insert it into your blog. This will allow advertising to appear on your blog based on the content you've written.

WordPress: This is an example of a WordPress blog. WordPress has many plug-ins you can use to enhance your blog. It has also many designs and themes you can choose from. Some themes are pre loaded with money making adsense advertising. WordPress is best used with a domain. Usually when you purchase a domain and webhosting, you'll be able to install wordpress on your website. So say if my website is shermanchoo.com, then I can install the default wordpress blog from my hosting cpanel, and later ftp some new templates to my theme folder. WordPress is a little more advanced then Blogger.
While blogs can make one money, not many will reach a 5 figure income from blogging alone. Blogs should be used as a medium of communication where you can offer tips and advice for customers in your niche. To get repeat visits to your blog, you'll need a mailing list of folks in your niche. By combining a blog with a mailing list, that will greatly enhance your income.

A 4 Year Affiliate Marketing Timeline

Monday, April 21st, 2008

It must have been at least 3 years since I stepped on to the net. In this post, I thought I'd share a little of what my back ground was. 7 years ago, I graduated from Singapore's NTU. I was not the best student, in fact most people knew me more as a full time dancer rather then a student. I did Latin Ballroom and competed in Cha Cha, Jive and other latin dances. For now, I just dance socially and spend alot of time working on my golf swing.

Anyway… I came online in 2005. That was about 4 years ago. Here's a timeline of my journey, maybe its similar to yours :)

2005

Joined Network Marketing because of a friends recommendation. It was an interesting journey, I actually came online and googled "How To Succeed At Network Marketing". Read a couple of articles about the subject on how others built an MLM business using just the internet and some essential tools. The idea was generally there, however there was some essential flaws that caused alot of leakage. In other words, alot of money is spent unwisely. In order to maximise and stretch our dollar means not spending on useless tools that don't add to your bottom line.

To make massive money online means a low start up cost and profits within 30 days.

Email Marketing – Many Links or Just 1 Link At the End of The Email

Monday, April 7th, 2008

If you're into email marketing, you will want to include the same link in your offer as many as 3 times. This sounds like alot, however the more times someone sees the link, the greater value the link has, and the greater our desire to click on it to find out what lies on the other side of that click…

Placing and email in your link multiple times psychologically compels someone to take action. Especially so if that person you're emailing to has opted in to learn more from you. If that person was not an opt in, then whatever one does simply looks like spam, which in any case, it is.

Email sales is about making it easy for someone to get what they want without doing alot of clicking. Clicking is tiring and takes effort. When we make things convenient for others to take the action we want them to take, they will naturally do so!

What is the Plug In Profit Site?

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Should you get a Plug In Profit Site?

I know 1 person who has done very well in it (close to 6 figures), and folks who don't do well.

Your income streams will come from:

  • Success University ($129.95 one-time + $55.95 recurring)
  • SFI ($29.95)
  • Empowerism ($24.95)
  • Host 4 Profit ($24.95)
  • GetResponse ($17.95)

Your total cost in the each month, less the Success University one time fee is $153.75 , including the Success University one time fee would be $285.75.

If you have a database of 2000 new comers, they will probably not do very well in Pips. This is because $153.75 per month is quite alot of money and that is the business setup alone. If you include advertising cost, such as Ezine advertising or Adwords, that will require another $100 to $150 per month.

A ball park figure for a Pips site to be up and running is ($285.75 + $150)=$435.75

Internet Marketing – Are You Outsourcing?

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

For most people who want to start a home business, they fall under 2 categories. They have time or they have money from their current/previous jobs. If you have savings, its certainly much easier to get started in a home internet business because you'll be able to invest in resources that would save you alot of time.

Some tools are very necessary for an internet business, without which its hard to sustain a long term business.

If you don't have the money to invest in an internet business, then you'll need to invest time, and invest your early earnings into outsourcing your work. Creating cashflow allows you to spend $100 and earn $200, rather then spend 1 hr to earn $200. Making your money work for you will set you financially free.

Before deciding what to outsource note down your strengths. You may be good at everything but its important to do what you're best at , and outsource the rest.

1. Are you a tech expert?
This means…are you good with autoresponders, and html code? Knowing how to work with WYSIWYG editors will allow you to produce simple and nice webpages. Hiring a websdesigner will cost you around $400 to $1000 depending on the website you require. HTML and working with WYSIYWG editors is really easy once you know how and its worth spending time to learn how to do basic webmaster tasks.

2. Are you good at writing or producing short audio and videos?

The internet is a medium for audio, visual & written communication. Writing means sending out messages that allows you to connect with your audience. In a nutshell, online marketing is this. You advertise, your audience responds, you reciprocate. Think of a movie star who sells his film, the audience responds by watching the film (applauding if its good), the movie star reciprocates by thanking his fans for their support and continues to produce better films.

Internet Marketing – List Building Psychology

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

The frame of mind that a subscriber enters your list is important. There was a lady who had over 10,000 subscribers in her list but had very little conversions. She was very nice and because of that, was unable to monetise because she had given away too much and there was no more reason for folks to buy from her.

Marketing is about shifting paradigms in our heads. Is giving things away to build a list considered good? Yes. However, giving away too much, that is not good. In life, its about balancing on the edge of a sword. If we're too kind, or too selfish, if we deal in extremes, it will turn out to be a negative in the end.

So, we give, and we must also remember to take.

In this post, i'm going to share the different mindset for different methods of list building.

Google Adwords Cash – Keywords That Convert To Sales

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Here's a tip that I hope will help you earn alot of money from the PPC search engines.

When you search Google Adwords for keywords that convert, not all of them will be profitable for you. This is because many of these keywords, generate traffic but not sales.

Sales keywords are often "keywords that solve problems"

Here are examples of keywords that will make you money.

  • "where to buy gout cholcocine"
  • "best golf instructional video"
  • "how to play golf"
  • "remove virus from computer"

These long tail keywords often have very little traffic according to the keyword tools. But, they will generate sales for very low cost, and the ROI is often quite high. The only way to discover these "seemingly" unimportant keywords is through PPC and 3rd party tracking.

Newbies Guide To Making Money With Clicks

Monday, January 7th, 2008

I recently got a copy of the Adsense Big system and set it up. You can find the case study site here. What this does is to combine many articles of the same subject into 1 navigable site. The ads that appear on the left are Adsense Ads. Everytime a click is made on the Ads, you will earn a commission anywhere from $0.11 to $0.30.

Total time to setup: 1 hour

1) You'll need the adsense website package

2) You'll need a domain name and webhosting

3) The Adsense "pub – …" ID gotten from Google Adsense

How Ewen Chia's Super Affiliates Earn a 5 figure Income

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

Since Ewen Chia's Super Affiliates program was launched, there's been such a buzz.

ewen chia super affiliates

This not mentioned in his program but I think an important aspect of breaking the 5 figure ceiling on the internet is time management.

Most folks starting out don't hire freelancers from elance.com to do their work for them. So when one is starting out online, its very easy to get bogged down by HTML, or trying to find out how the WINZIP application works..

"Doh…" for some, a mountain to climb for others.

Google Assassin Review

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

Google Assassin, the sequel to Day Job Killer is developed by Chris. Since Chris's foucs is centered around Clickbank, his tools are mainly used to get that extra edge in the Clickbank marketplace. For me, since i'm mainly old school, i don't use these new tools…it takes time to learn them, besides I have my own techniques. Anyhow, I did find the Clickbank Alert somewhat interesting…Here's a screen shot of what it looks like…the Chris coined it, Google Assassin – Affiliate's Den.

cbalert.png

This tool tells you what is up and coming in the Clickbank marketplace. Products that sell well are naturally products that are converting well with few affiliate competition. When new products are introduced to the marketplace, people don't know about them and this tool alerts you to possible gold mines. I would however recommend not to rely solely on this but do one's own homework. You will know a page converts only by doing your own testing.

There are some interesting Google Assassin tools that help you do this such as:

  •  "The Daddy" Keyword Extractor Tool –  Used to search keywords for your PPC campaign
  • Adwords Micro-Nicher Tool – Interesting application to help you find niches that you can target with low  keyword competition. By the way, just so you know, I actually do these without the help of tools. Tools are just there to help you do it faster then me…

Affiliate Elite Brad Callen

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

There are huge promotions for Brad Callen's Affiliate Elite going on right now. Sometimes, it puzzles me why every one jumps on the next big tool that's going to make them rich. At the end of the day, the things that matters are the following.

  • Traffic
  • Conversion
  • Building a list of people who look to keep in touch with you

I'm not proposing anyone buy it, since I've not tried it myself. But if you have tried and tested it, and it makes you $1000 a month. Let me know…

Best Traffic Exchange

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

The best traffic exchange actually does not consist of 1 traffic exchange. It reallys consists of multiple traffic exchanges tied together by a system. This system has to be designed in a way that provides simple tutorial training and teaches every person thereafter to duplicate the results. The system should not advertise a business. It should be generic and tutorial focused. In this way, everyone in the traffic exchanges will be able to use the system and build up their advertising credits with it.

The Best Traffic Exchange system can be found here.
